Biography

Marzana Chowdhury is the senior statistical analyst of the Palliative and Advanced Illness Research (PAIR) Center. She began working with Dr. Halpern and his team in January of 2018 and is involved in a  number of projects. Marzana is mainly engaged in cleaning and preparing clinical data for analysis, implementing the project analysis plan and developing reports for presentation.

After graduating with a masters in Applied Statistics from University of Dhaka in Bangladesh she moved to the USA with her husband and started her PhD program at the University of Texas at Dallas. She graduated with a PhD in Statistics and got the best dissertation award for the year 2018 in School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of UT Dallas. Her PhD dissertation is related to breast cancer risk prediction, which motivated her to pursue a career in medical research.

Marzana lives with her husband and son near the Fairmount park in Philadelphia. She loves watching movies and enjoys outdoor activities with her family.
