Dr. Norma B. Coe's research is the economics of aging, focusing on measuring the costs and benefits of care delivery. She is an Associate Professor of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the Perelman School of Medicine.
After graduating from the College of William and Mary, Dr. Coe worked at the Urban Institute and the US Department of Treasury before entering graduate school at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In 2017, Dr. Coe joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania. She uses secondary data, including survey and administrative data, and econometric techniques to identify the causal impact policy has on health, human behavior, health care access, and health care utilization.
