Biography

Kelly O'Leary earned her bachelors degree in Biology from Occidental College in 2012. After graduating, Kelly worked with the SeriousFun Children’s Network, an international network of recreational programs serving children affected by chronic and life threatening illnesses. In 2015, Kelly began her work in clinical research at the University of California, San Francisco working on an observational clinical study on prion diseases and other rapidly progressive dementias. Kelly O’Leary joined the PAIR Center as a Clinical Research Coordinator working on multiple studies in August 2017.

While working at the PAIR Center Kelly looks forward to learning about research design in palliative and advanced illness care. Kelly plans to eventually pursue training as a nurse practitioner in pediatric palliative care and hopes to apply research methods learned at the PAIR Center to conduct research to improve advanced illness care outcomes for pediatric populations.

In Kelly’s free time she enjoys cooking, seeing live music, hiking, and sampling local ice cream shops.
