Sylvia Szerszen is the Manager of Administration and Finance, responsible for the oversight of the Center’s finances, business office operations and research administration. Sylvia has had the pleasure of working with the PAIR Center since 2018 (part-time) and joined the Center in a full-time capacity in early 2020, a testament to the Center’s continued growth and impressive research portfolios. Over a decade prior to solely focusing her attention on grants administration and management, she worked in a wet-bench lab setting. Sylvia holds a Master of Health Administration degree and an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Scranton.

No stranger to the Department of Medicine, Sylvia worked for the Central Administration Office for 5+ years and was instrumental in developing and managing a unit that supports clinical research portfolios amongst the 12 Divisions. Prior to joining Penn, Sylvia worked for the Office of Sponsored Programs at The Commonwealth Medical College (now known as Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine).
